Fire Fighting with the Raincloud Aerial Monitor
Stratospheric Industries develops water-thrust platforms for waterside fire suppression — autonomous and remotely operated systems addressing seaward access gaps at oil rigs, tanks, and coastal energy infrastructure. The approach uses directed water flow for both platform control and suppression delivery, removing personnel from proximity to the fireground and from open-water response operations.
The program originates in water-thrust platform design and remote electronic control, beginning 2009, with application to fire suppression specifically since 2016. This page documents program history, demonstrated configurations, and current architecture.
